Job Title : Cherry Picker & Reach Forklift Operator

Job Description

Candidates will be working in the warehouse as a Cherry Picker & Reach Forklift Operator. Their responsibilities include replenishing stock, put-aways, loading and offloading trucks, receiving and sorting products, and operating cherry pickers, walkies, or reach forklifts.

This role involves heavy lifting, up to 50lbs multiple times per hour. Workers are encouraged to ask for help if they think something may be too heavy.

The candidate must be comfortable lifting up to 50lbs and must not expect to be on the forklift the entire shift. This is NOT a forklift-only role.

Hard Skills

• 1+ years of experience with reach forklifts and fall safety certification (externally licensed)
• 1+ years of warehouse experience, including understanding of distribution, warehouse management systems, and inbound / outbound procedures
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs repetitively
• Experience with counterbalance, swing reach, or walkie forklifts
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Type

• This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 4 Month(s).
• Shift : 6 : 30am-3pm OR 7 : 30am-4pm (must be able to work both shift times)
• Pay : $21.46 / hr

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Caledon, Ontario.

Work Environment

Brand new 500,000 sqft facility. Work space is about 300,000 sqft. Clean work environment. Large cafeteria available. Work environment can be loud in certain departments.
