We’re seeking someone to join our Unix Operations team as a Linux Infrastructure Specialist to help us implement and manage the Linux infrastructure for Morgan Stanley.
The Unix Operations team is responsible for implementing and managing the Linux infrastructure for Morgan Stanley. The group is involved in evaluation, certification, integration, and maintenance of various products, including hardware, operating systems such as Red Hat Linux and Solaris, system services (DNS, DHCP, NTP, syslog, etc.), file systems (NFS, AFS, Hadoop, and various cluster file systems), high‑availability, virtualization technologies, and a variety of in‑house developed tools.
In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities. This is an Infrastructure Production Management & Reliability Engineering III position at director level, part of the job family responsible for maintaining the stability and reliability of the organization's infrastructure systems, ensuring optimal performance and availability to support business operations.
