Nature of the work : The position of Personal Development and Community Engagement Animator involves the design and implementation of programs that foster students’ self‑awareness, autonomy and sense of responsibility, with a focus on the community, humanitarian initiatives, and inner‑life development. The animator promotes a supportive school climate that values diversity in culture, physical, sexual and gender identities.

Tasks :

• Design, plan, organize, and lead activities that enable students to develop inner life and social awareness, participate in improving their environment and society, and connect personal lives, values, aspirations and community involvement.
• Provide individual or collective support to students who need to delve deeper into specific questions or resolve difficulties in personal, social, or community involvement.
• Raise awareness among school partners of their responsibility in facilitating student personal, social, and community development.
• Inform and advise school administration about the realities and needs of students in relation to their personal, social, and community lives.
• Coordinate and collaborate with other stakeholders in the school environment, supporting them by proposing activities that meet their needs for information or training regarding inner life and community engagement.
• Participate in designing and disseminating information to parents and community organizations about the various aspects of the personal development and community engagement services, and, where appropriate, collaborate with them to promote further student development.

Desired Profile :

A bachelor’s degree in an appropriate specialty, primarily covering Animation, Anthropology, or Social Life.

Candidate must be bilingual (French & English). Knowledge of the English‑speaking community is an asset.
