About the Role

Are you a visionary leader ready to drive operational excellence and make a lasting impact in municipal leadership? Rocky View County is looking for an experienced executive to join our team as Executive Director, Financial Services.

In this role, you will oversee a team of 65 professionals in the key departments of Assessment Services, Asset Management, Customer Care & Support, Financial Services and Information Technology, within a broader organization of over 350 dedicated professionals. Leading with purpose, shaping strategy, and creating a legacy within an innovative and supportive environment.

Your Impact

As Executive Director, Financial Services, you’ll leverage your senior leadership experience and municipal expertise to :

  • Drive Strategic Vision and Leadership : Lead the Financial Services Division to achieve Rocky View County’s long-term goals, fostering an innovative and responsive approach to public service.
  • Collaborate and Engage Stakeholders : Build and sustain strong inter-municipal and community relationships, acting as a liaison and advocate for the County’s strategic vision and goals.
  • Promote Operational Excellence : Oversee all financial and administrative functions within the division, promoting efficiency and high service quality to enhance community trust and satisfaction.
  • Ensure Fiscal Responsibility and Sustainability : Manage all financial planning and budgeting processes, ensuring alignment with both short and long-term objectives to support the County’s fiscal health and growth.

    • Qualifications :

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (preferred) and 10+ years of senior leadership experience, ideally in municipal or government administration.
  • Background in Finance or IT (preferred), with certifications in Local Government Management or Administration.
  • Proven expertise in budget management, financial planning, and policy development.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all organizational levels.
  • A proactive leader capable of prioritizing and managing multiple initiatives in a dynamic environment.
