Your Role
The National Key Account Manager (NKAM) at Kuehne+Nagel drives growth by identifying and securing new strategic customers and managing these relationships to achieve business volume and revenue goals. Acting as an industry expert, the NKAM coordinates internal resources to deliver comprehensive logistics solutions and maximize value creation. This role requires maintaining close communication with customers and senior management to ensure alignment and proactively address potential issues.
Your Responsibilities
- Hunt and close new strategic customer accounts (new logos) to expand the company’s portfolio.
- Oversee strategic customers to drive organic growth within existing business units and identify opportunities for expansion into new units.
- Understand the decision-making hierarchy of strategic customers and align Kuehne+Nagel management with strategic customer management to ensure strong executive relationships.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the logistics characteristics of the assigned market and act as an industry subject matter expert.
- Create and manage a network of resources around strategic customers to optimize service delivery and value creation.
- Identify and mobilize the necessary resources within Kuehne+Nagel to capitalize on value creation opportunities for strategic customers.
- Serve as the primary lead for developing and managing the strategic customer business plan, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Meet or exceed business volume and revenue targets set by the company, ensuring consistent growth and profitability.
- Act as the single point of contact for selling all Kuehne+Nagel services and solutions across all business fields, coordinating with dedicated support representatives as needed.
- Conduct regular business review sessions and arrange at least one “white board session” (global discovery session) with each assigned strategic customer to uncover new opportunities and enhance relationships.

Your Skills and Experiences
Undergraduate degree in logistics or related business field.Experience with logistics processes, systems, and solutions.Requires a minimum of 5+ years of freight forwarding sales experience.Good Reasons to Join
