Job Description
- Install , repair, and improve electrical systems and components such as fuses, lights, and wiring.
- Inspect, test, and diagnose electrical systems and component problems.
- All work must be completed in accordance with electrical codes, blueprints, and standards.
- To ensure proper operation, test electrical systems and components.
- Complete all the necessary repair and service documentation.
- Maintain an adequate supply of necessary supplies and parts.
- Calibrate the equipment according to the specifications provided.
- Preventive maintenance should be performed on electrical systems and components.
- Troubleshoot issues and make repairs as soon as possible.
Requirements
- An electrician apprenticeship program is required.
- It is preferable to have completed an electrician’s program at a technical or trade school.
- In the state of practice, a journeyman electrician’s license is required.
- 3-5 years of electrical experience are required.
- Valid driver’s license in the state where you practice
- Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds
- Bending, climbing, squatting, reaching, and kneeling.
- Ability to read and comprehend electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
- Working knowledge of electrical theory and the principles, materials, and equipment associated with it.
- Ability to use hand and power tools related to electrical work.
- Capability to solve basic mathematical problems.
- Willing to work additional hours
