Wood is seeking potential Solution Consultants to express interest in expanding our Intelligent Asset Solutions team in St John’s. These roles will be part of our maintAI solution initiative. While hybrid work arrangements are possible, the role requires in-office presence at Wood’s office in St Johns.

Responsibilities

About the role :

  • Providing engineering recommendations based on maintAI solutions and guiding clients through technical and business justifications.
  • Working within a project team of 5-8 experts focusing on value delivery in maintenance, production, reliability, inventory, and emissions.
  • End-to-end consulting including business case development, system design, AI model creation, and deployment.
  • Delivering technical and digital solutions to improve operational efficiency.
  • Driving change adoption and embedding solutions within client organizations.
  • Contributing to the development of Wood’s toolkit and knowledge base.
  • Understanding client problems and developing frameworks or solutions.
  • Building lasting relationships and understanding organizational dynamics.
  • Analyzing data using analytics tools with minimal supervision.

  • Advanced engineering degree (preferably mechanical, chemical, or electrical).
  • Additional education in digital specialties is advantageous.
  • Minimum 3 years of industry experience in engineering services, solutions, or consulting related to operations or growth initiatives.
  • Deep technical and data analysis expertise, strategic thinking, and persuasive communication skills.
  • Experience with AI and machine learning is required.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, international teams.
  • Entrepreneurial drive and goal achievement.
  • Passion for solutions, customer success, and support.
  • Highly desirable experience :

  • Experience with CMMS systems like SAP or Maximo.
  • Programming languages : Python, GO, C++, Java, Scala, JavaScript.
  • Data science and machine learning expertise.
  • Cloud experience, especially with Microsoft Azure.
