Company Description

Second Nature Family Health & Wellness Centre provides specialized counselling, wellness, and education services to neurodivergent children, youth, and families. Our approach helps families develop social and emotional skills through attachment-focused mental health counselling and education services that are rooted in nature.

Role Description

This is a contract, in-person role for a Special Education Teacher. The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for elementary level learners, teaching elementary school subjects, and providing support to learners to enhance their learning experiences. The role also involves working with parents and other educators to ensure a supportive and inclusive educational environment. Here, creativity is a must! Qualifications

  • Experience in Special Education and / or a keen interest in neuro-affirming education
  • Proven ability in Teaching, particularly at the elementary school level
  • Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field
  • Experience working with children and youth in an educational setting
  • Experience in mental health a plus
