Position Overview
You're someone with an investigative mindset who loves to use your analytical skills to solve problems. You’re a leader with strong organizational skills who enjoys collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to produce impactful recommendations that ensure the safety of employees and communities.
As a manager, corporate security, you'll be responsible for providing province-wide, cross-utility direction and support for corporate security operational objectives including the strategy and sustainment of the corporate security program.
Reporting to senior manager, corporate security, this position supports the organization’s overall worker safety and business strategy objectives.

In this role, you will :
- Take the lead on developing and executing corporate security strategies including risk assessments and the required security policies, guidelines, standards, and procedures.
- Work across multiple programs as a subject matter expert to identify and develop applicable policies, patterns, and practices.
To ensure the evolution of corporate security management, you will develop and implement long-range plans to maintain cost and risk effectiveness.
Modernize the future of corporate security by planning activities and staying up to date on emerging technologies and best practices related to the needs of the business.
As you introduce new tools, you will assess the risks and trends to evaluate their impact on current and future corporate security initiatives.
Drive forward the performance of corporate security by establishing key performance indicators and service level agreements.
What it takes :
- A bachelor’s degree in law, law enforcement, business or public administration, science, or a related discipline from an accredited university, plus a minimum of eight to 10 years of recent and related experience in asset or building management within a leadership capacity.
- An equivalent combination of education, related training, and experience may be considered.
- A Certified Information Systems Security Professional designation is preferred.
- Knowledge in developing investigative strategies, conducting investigations of a complex and sensitive nature, and a demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion.
- Exceptional communication and project management skills to engage with stakeholders across the business as you lead corporate security strategies.
In this role, you will have the option to participate in a flexible work program, enabling you to work from an approved flex location in British Columbia up to 85 days a year (equivalent to approximately two days a week), subject to business or operational needs.
