Our client, a well-established wood manufacturing plant that produces high-quality products for industrial, residential, and commercial construction is looking for an experienced Millwright to join their weekday maintenance teams!

Job Type: Permanent position
Location: NE Calgary, AB
Schedule: (4x10) Friday – Monday, 6am – 4pm
Environment: Non-unionized
Wage: Hourly $40 to $43 per hour (based on experience and certification)

Responsibilities
What You’ll Do Every Day
As a Weekend Maintenance Millwright, you’ll play a pivotal role in keeping operations running smoothly. Your responsibilities include:
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and technical issues to minimize production downtime.
- Conduct mechanical rounds to identify wear or damage and implement timely solutions.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures, fostering a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team and supervisors to prioritize and complete tasks effectively.
- Support major equipment upgrades or installations, ensuring adherence to facility standards.

Qualifications
What do you need for this position?
- Certification: 4th year apprentice or Journeyperson Millwright ticket.
- Experience: 2–3 years in maintenance or a related field.
- Technical Expertise: Strong mechanical skills with hands-on experience in repairs, PMs, and rebuilds (no electrical skills required).
- Commitment to Safety: A track record of promoting and enforcing health and safety protocols.
