Job Title : Project Engineer

Location : Trail, BC

Salary Range : $120,000 - $160,000

We are seeking a Project Engineer to act as an infrastructure consultant and owner’s representative for utility and municipal clients . The successful candidate will be responsible for working on an electric substation project involving the installation of two new 20MVA transformers .

This role requires expertise in electrical engineering, project management, and stakeholder coordination to ensure project success from design to execution .

Must Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience in electric substations
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) status with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC)
• Experience using AutoCAD, MS Office, Primavera, and SharePoint

Nice to Haves

• Experience working as an owner’s representative
• Familiarity with multi-disciplinary engineering and construction concepts
• Previous experience supporting engineering closeout and commissioning processes

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical point of contact for engineering projects, ensuring adherence to client standards, scope, and timelines
• Serve as the primary liaison between clients, contractors, and engineering consultants
• Oversee project controls , including budgeting, scheduling, forecasting, and risk analysis
• Provide technical oversight and engineering support during construction
• Ensure smooth project closeout by leading engineering documentation and compliance reviews
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of design criteria, materials, and emerging technologies in the sector
