Daycare Worker

Adecco is actively seeking a compassionate and dedicated Daycare Worker for a full-time role at a daycare facility in Gold River, BC. In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being and development of children in a safe and nurturing environment. You will assist in planning and implementing programs, preparing meals, and providing care to children while fostering positive relationships with both parents and team members.

Pay Rate : $17.45 to $19.75 per hour (Dependent on education / experience)

Location : Gold River, BC.

Job type : Permanent | Full-time Responsibilities :

Help plan and implement daycare programs, ensuring the focus is culturally sensitive and covers healthy topics.

Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals to children.

Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of children under your care.

Lead, demonstrate, and encourage children's activities throughout the day.

Address any parental questions and concerns, referring them to the Daycare Supervisor when needed.

Document observations of children and complete required reports.

Work with the daycare team to develop and implement program improvements.

Ensure all daycare policies, rules, and guidelines for developmentally appropriate behavior are followed.

Build and maintain professional working relationships with parents and caregivers.

Help maintain a clean, safe, and nurturing environment for children.

Perform any additional duties as assigned within the daycare. Requirements :

Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.

Excellent verbal communication skills.

Ability to work well in team settings.

Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks.

Professional, responsive, with a positive work attitude.

Experience with and an understanding of the importance of client confidentiality.

Physical ability to carry and lift up to 45 pounds.

Position is a combination of standing and sitting.

For this opportunity, a vehicle is needed for this position to commute to work as the education center is located on the reserve, short drive from Gold River, B.C.
