Operational Requirements

Operational Requirements

OR-1 - Ability to obtain and maintain a DND driver’s license (DND 404)

OR-2 - Must possess and maintain a valid, non-graduated, and unrestricted provincial or Territorial Driver’s Licence.

OR-3 -Willingness to be on a standby or a call-in list and asked to respond after hours within one hour of being called in. Willingness to work overtime including weekends

OR-4 - Ability to wear personal protective equipment used in a construction / maintenance environment

OR-5 - May be required to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, scaffolding and work from heights. Work may include but not limited to standing, climbing, walking, lifting, bending, pulling and / or pushing, grasping, reaching, stooping, and crouching, sitting, color determination, speaking and listening, and working in hot and cold environments for extended periods of time.

Willing and able to travel as required.

Willing and able to work overtime as required.

Willing and able to work from heights.

Willing and able to lift 34 kg (75 lbs).

You need (essential for the job)

Your application must clearly explain how you meet the following Occupational Certification

OC-1 - Possession of a valid red seal journeyperson’s certification in the painting and decorating trade (required for positions in Petawawa, ON).ORA secondary school diploma or acceptable combination of education, training and / or experience.Experience :

Experience in working as a painter in a maintenance or construction environment.

Experience in operating and maintaining a variety of tools and equipment. Applied / assessed at a later date Competencies :

Language requirements (essential for the job)

Applied / assessed at a later date English essential

Experience in the application of oil and water-based paints

Experience in the handling of Human Resources.
