Vice President, Finance
This role is focused on overseeing financial reporting, accounting operations, treasury, and compliance for a portfolio of mining and infrastructure projects. It demands a strong background in cost accounting, process improvements, and bilingual communication (English and French).
Key Responsibilities :
- Financial Reporting :
- Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with IFRS and regulations.
- Oversee financial close processes and implement system improvements.
- Coordinate tax preparation and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Accounting and Cash Operations :
- Manage accounts payable, general ledger, intercompany transactions, and payroll.
- Develop and implement internal controls for financial integrity.
- Budgeting & Forecasting :
- Lead annual budgeting processes and prepare financial forecasts.
- Analyze actual vs. budget variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Compliance and Regulatory :
- Monitor changes in accounting and tax standards, ensuring adherence to regulations.
- Maintain robust internal controls and align operations with internal policies.
Qualifications & Skills :
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.CPA certification or equivalent with 10+ years of experience.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.Bilingual communication skills (English and French).Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.This position is ideal for candidates with expertise in financial leadership, regulatory compliance, and process optimization, particularly within bilingual and dynamic environments.
