The Finance Manager - Ecommerce will be responsible for overseeing the accounting for the online and Ecommerce business. They will work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, brand, marketing, finance and IT to ensure accurate and actionable insights are provided relating to Tiktok and Adyen.
This is a hybrid role based out of our Toronto office.
WHAT YOU’D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE
- Support the development and execution of e-commerce projects and initiatives and ensure the testing is completed from end to end
- Review and approve related journal entries and reconciliations
- Review and analysis of transactions to ensure accuracy
- Perform period-end financial close responsibilities and timelines are met, including journal entry approvals and balance sheet account reconciliations
- Ensure the Adyen and Tiktok Controls meet SOX requirements
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure seamless data integration and integrity of our payment provider data into our ERP system
- Lead and mentor a team of 2-3 people, providing guidance on best practices for data analysis, reporting and processes around the reconciliations
- Continue implementing new tools and technologies to improve reporting capabilities and efficiency
- Identify, recommend, and implement strategies to continuously improve efficiency and effectiveness of financial processes and controls
- Collaborate and assist with projects to support finance initiatives and business objectives
- Support with the sustainability and social impact team and diversity, equity & inclusion team regularly to incorporate our approach into aspects of work
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE
Strong financial knowledge and background in systems especially Excel, data reporting and analytics required5+ years of accounting experience with at least 1 year of managing a team of 2 or more peopleCPA Designation or equivalent requiredExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal to work effectively with key stakeholders and external vendorsStrong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, ability to demonstrate accuracy and a drive for continuous improvement and automationWHAT YOU’LL BE GAINING BY JOINING OUR TEAM
