Agropur is now seeking to hire a Vice President, Procurement to join its team. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and in support of the business units and corporate functions, the Vice President, Procurement identifies and recommends optimization and standardization initiatives related to procurement activities from a “total cost of ownership” perspective, proposes and implements performance indicators, supports the implementation of initiatives in business units and corporate functions, and coordinates calls for tender.

The key responsibilities for this role include overseeing all procurement activities for both direct and indirect materials, aligning them with the company's operational goals while driving cost savings, quality, and sustainability. The role involves developing procurement strategies, standardizing processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and ethical standards. A strong focus is placed on supplier management, fostering strategic partnerships, and conducting performance evaluations. Cost management through effective negotiations and data-driven insights is critical, as is ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks and managing supply chain risks. The role also emphasizes leadership and team development, promoting accountability and continuous improvement. Sustainability is integral, with the aim of incorporating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into procurement, reducing the environmental impact, and ensuring ethical standards across the supply chain.
