Plant Controller

Due to a retirement, we are looking for a highly skilled Plant Controller to join our clients team in Perth, Ontario. This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced financial expert to oversee and enhance the financial operations of a dynamic, private equity-backed company. Reporting directly to the President and Board of Directors, the successful candidate will play a key role in financial planning, compliance, and strategic decision-making. Opportunity to grow in CFO.Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures for financial reporting, cash management, and credit operations.- Lead the month-end closing process and ensure the preparation of accurate financial statements.- Establish and monitor key performance indicators to assess and improve business performance.- Deliver timely and transparent financial reports, schedules, and dashboards to senior management and the Board of Directors.- Present risk assessments and monthly financial updates to key stakeholders.- Manage relationships with banking institutions and oversee daily cash management and bank reconciliations.- Supervise the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance.- Ensure adherence to all regulatory and tax filing requirements.- Direct the annual budgeting process and develop financial forecasts and models to support business strategies.- Oversee IT and HR functions, including payroll, benefits administration, and insurance policy renewals.Qualifications:- A minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management, with preference for candidates with manufacturing experience.- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).- Proven expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical reporting.- Familiarity with Private Equity operations and M& A processes is highly desirable.- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines with excellent organizational skills.- Proficiency in accounting software systems such as 3M, Epicor, or similar platforms. Someone to create dashboard and KPI's.- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.- Solid understanding of economic principles, financial markets, and banking operations. Experience with U.S sales and distribution is beneficial and hopefully grow more world wide.This is an on-site role that comes with great bonus potential, opportunity to grow and potential opportunity to obtain equity.
