AOI Operator – Guelph, ON Canada

The primary task of this role is to perform electronic assembly inspection, defect identification, and assist with the efficient and effective operation of SMT assembly within the Manufacturing department.

• Machine operation, setup, minor maintenance, and communication of findings
• Update programs for AOI equipment based on provided CAD data
• Operate AOI equipment to inspect electronic assemblies
• Review inspection results and verify defects such as missing components, solder defects, misalignment, or polarity issues
• Utilize IPC-A-610 standard to implement pass / fail criteria for electronic assemblies
• Provide reports of inspection findings to Team Lead
• Provide real-time feedback to SMT Team regarding PCB defects
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled
• Responsible for maintaining production output with minimal downtime and minimal supervision
• Maintain general machine cleanliness and upkeep
• Achieve and adhere to a high level of quality of work produced
• Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) and safety procedures
