Controller (remote)

Our client, a respected organization in the oil and gas sector, is seeking an experienced Controller to join their team on a remote basis. This leadership position oversees all aspects of accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance, supporting company growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements
• Oversee general ledger, reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and overall accounting operations
• Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis functions
• Coordinate the preparation for external audits and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
• Partner with executive leadership on financial planning and strategic initiatives
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering continuous improvement and strong team performance

• Previous experience as a Controller
• Oil and gas industry experience is a requirement
• Advanced knowledge of GAAP, regulatory compliance, and internal controls
• Hands-on experience with accounting systems and financial reporting tools; demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies.
• Excellent communication skills and a proven record of remote team management
