Commodity Manager

Responsibilities and Duties

• Develop and execute commodity sourcing strategies and align business requirements with supplier capabilities.
• Work closely with engineering and product management teams to develop sourcing strategies that meet product and business needs.
• Source strategic component partners and develop long-term strategic partnerships.
• Manage AVL (approved vendor list), including supplier capability assessment, selection, qualification, and performance management.
• Conduct QBR / PBR with approved vendors and ensure supplier performance aligns with business requirements.
• Negotiate component pricing and drive cost reductions through market analysis and alternative sourcing.
• Assess business risks and develop risk mitigation plans.
• Conduct purchasing spending analysis and forecast future purchasing needs.
• Negotiate agreements and contracts, supporting cross-functional teams in critical negotiations.
• Create and maintain purchasing data and documentation.

Qualifications

The pay range for this position is CAD$92,000 - $126,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome all qualified applicants.
