About the Opportunity
Our Client is advancing a multi-year digital health modernization strategy to enable a seamless, patient-centred healthcare experience across the province.
The Senior Project Director eHealth Development will provide strategic, portfolio-level leadership across multiple interdependent digital health initiatives and act as a central integration point between clinical stakeholders, program leadership, IMT teams, shared services partners, and vendors.
Position Summary
Reporting to executive leadership, the Senior Project Director will oversee complex, multi-year eHealth initiatives and ensure alignment across clinical, business, technical, and vendor workstreams.
This role is accountable for :
Aligning business objectives, clinical workflows, technical requirements, interoperability frameworks, and policy direction
Driving program execution and portfolio integration
Managing risks, dependencies, and cross-stream coordination
Supporting executive reporting and governance processes
The successful candidate will collaborate with internal and external partners including clinical stakeholders, shared services organizations, professional associations, vendors, and cross-ministry teams to support the design, integration, and implementation of digital health solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio & Program Leadership
Provide senior oversight across multiple eHealth initiatives, including CII / CPAR, ERS, EMR Strategy & Integration, and EHR modernization
Develop and maintain coordinated portfolio roadmaps and integrated work plans
Manage interdependencies across workstreams
Ensure deliverables align with broader digital health strategies
Strategic Development & Analysis
Provide strategic guidance on digital health policy, investment, and program direction
Support development of Statements of Work (SOWs), contracts, SLAs, pricing models, and procurement documentation
Ensure solution design supports interoperability, data quality, clinical usability, and adoption
Vendor & Contract Management
Manage relationships with EMR vendors, technology providers, and shared services partners
Oversee contract performance, compliance, amendments, and deliverables
Monitor progress, escalate risks, and drive issue resolution
Stakeholder Engagement
Lead engagement with clinicians, professional associations, and regulatory bodies
Facilitate steering committees and governance forums
Provide leadership in change management and adoption strategies
Governance & Executive Reporting
Prepare executive briefings and portfolio updates
Report on status, risks, mitigation strategies, resource allocations, and dependencies
Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and governance frameworks
Mandatory Experience
10+ years leading complex negotiations and vendor engagements
8+ years in senior strategic planning roles
8+ years overseeing large-scale program delivery
6+ years integrating clinical applications with enterprise systems
10+ years working with executive leadership on enterprise transformation initiative
Nice to Have
8+ years applying clinical knowledge in digital health environments
8+ years overseeing portfolio governance frameworks
10+ years leading healthcare portfolios or multi-program initiatives
3+ years working with provincial, national, or international healthcare interoperability standards
10+ years working with public-sector health organizations or ministries
