Job description

This industry-leading Retail Technology company in Ville Saint-Laurent is looking for a Azure Cloud Engineer.

Additional information :

Contract in consultation

Term : 12 months renewable.

Start date : February 2025

Schedule : (40h / week)

Responsibilities

  • Here are the responsibilities for this Azure Cloud Engineer at this leader in Retail Technology in Ville Saint-Laurent;

Administering infrastructure in the Azure public cloud, including Virtual Machines (Linux and Windows), networking, Azure App Services and Entra ID

Provisioning new services in the Azure public cloud and complying with our backup strategies and policies

Proactively monitor the cloud environment, foresee any possible challenges and take preventative measures to avoid any system outage or possible resource challenge

Proactively optimize cloud usage while identifying and optimizing architecture to minimize cloud consumptions

Contribute to efforts in automation, continuous deployment, build, and configuration management

Advise on, and implement, best practices for monitoring, logging and alerting

Own the availability, resilience and scalability of your solutions

Document installations, procedures and requirements for systems / services

Maintain cloud security while meeting the needs of the business without blocking progress

Work closely with various internal teams to spec and plan new product and feature implementations

Provide Tier 3 support for infrastructure / system issues

Qualifications

  • Here are the qualifications required for this Azure Cloud Engineer at this leader in the Retail Technology industry in Ville Saint-Laurent;
  • 8+ years in different IT roles and / or infrastructure management

    4+ years of experience working with Azure cloud environments

    Experience with Azure Disaster recovery solutions with a focus on Azure Site Recovery, Traffic Manager, Availability Zones, and Geo-Replication and failover groups

    Extensive experience working closely with cross function teams (Dev, QA, and business teams)

    Knowledge of databases (MariaDB, MySQL)

    Knowledge in architect and build pipelines, as well as end-to-end CI / CD process

    Extensive experience in Azure IaaS and PaaS

    Experience with MS DevOps technology

    Experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence

    Experience with Azure Virtual Firewall

    Master-level scripting and automation abilities

    Experience supporting and troubleshooting .NET applications

    Strong ability to multitask, time management and handle change

    Superior collaboration and cross function communication skills

    Superior organizational, time management, and planning skills
