The Associate Sales Manager role directly supports these pillars by enabling growth across multiple channels - including Foodservice, Retail, and Health & Wellness - through hands-on account management, broker partner support, and new brand commercialization (Organic India). This role is critical for expanding our presence in key Canadian markets and channels, driving execution excellence, and supporting new initiatives that position TCPC for sustainable long-term success.
Key Responsibilities Financial Outcomes
- Deliver Sales Growth: Support achievement of sales targets across Foodservice, Longo’s, Organic India.
- Performance Tracking: Prepare and maintain sales trackers, promotional calendars, and regular reporting; monitor progress versus targets and identify growth opportunities.
- Trade Spend Management: Support effective use of trade funds/promotions within assigned portfolio.
Customer Service
- Account Management: Serve as day-to-day lead for Foodservice brokers/partners and Longo’s - manage ongoing business routines including sales calls, promotional planning, new item set-up, execution of sales programs, and relationship development.
- Brand Launch Execution: Lead execution for Organic India sales in Canada - including distributor management, direct retailer outreach (including Amazon), and support for Health & Wellness channel partners.
- Relationship Building: Develop positive relationships with broker partners, distributor contacts, retail buyers, and internal cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on goals and flawless execution.
Internal Processes
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, sales strategy, marketing/brand teams, finance and supply chain to deliver against key initiatives.
- Reporting & Communication: Prepare regular updates on performance for internal stakeholders; proactively identify process improvements or efficiencies within assigned portfolio.
- Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot order management issues (including deductions/claims) in partnership with internal teams; resolve logistics or supply chain challenges as needed.
Innovation and Learning
- New Brand Commercialization: Support planning and execution of new brand launches (e.g., Organic India), including market research, building sell-in stories/presentations, and early-stage distribution expansion.
- Special Projects & Continuous Improvement: Participate in special projects as assigned (e.g., World Foods business support); seek opportunities to drive efficiency or incremental business value.
- Market Intelligence: Stay current on category trends, competitive activity, customer needs; share insights with the broader team.
Key Qualifications - 2–4 years’ experience in CPG sales, account management, or related analytical roles (business/sales analyst); direct customer management experience preferred.
- Experience working with Canadian retailers or distributors preferred; knowledge of Foodservice or Health & Wellness channels is an asset.
- Strong analytical skills; proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities/projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
