Koch Fertilizer, LLC is looking for a Process Control Engineer!!!!
This position offers exposure to a variety of Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) equipment / platforms while being contingent on the engineering fundamentals and reliability analysis.
The successful candidate will support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of process control systems at KFC, Brandon.
The successful candidate will support day-to-day DCS / SIS responsibilities for the facility and support capital projects.
The role offers opportunities for training courses in engineering, supervision, and management to support personal development and business needs.

What You Will Do
- Champion and implement the KFC Process Control Vision in an interactive team environment
- Support APC and Procedural Automation / State Based Controls as they are implemented / maintained
- Act as an SME for DeltaV DCS and SIS, PID Loop tuning, etc.
- Participate in larger KAES and Koch Industries community of practices in these areas and integrate their work at Brandon site
- Contribute towards execution of I&C scopes for projects and reliability improvement initiatives (e.g. PI implementation, digital transformation programs etc.
by ensuring timely and adequate subject matter expertise support.
- Assure compliance and adherence to processes, industry codes and standards, quality systems, cyber security & PCN networking protocols, policies, and contractual requirements.
- Provide timely support to the operations / maintenance team in troubleshooting of malfunctions and complex repairs.
- Work with Maintenance, Operations and Plant Engineering to determine alternatives and provide guidance during problem analysis.
Work to find the best fit for purpose solution that supports the needs of the business.
- Provide input for planning & scheduling of the plant outages / turnarounds.
- Review our plant’s process control and safety control performance either from your desktop or directly from the Distributed Control System (DCS) / Safety Instrumented System (SIS) screens
- Identify control improvement opportunities and advanced control opportunities that align with Koch’s business goals for our operating plants
- Ensure safety controls are performing per design and participate in functional safety work
- Proficiency with P&ID’s, control narratives, Cause & Effect diagrams, instrument and valve data sheets and then applying control skills to drive performance improvements to meet those business goals
- Develop implementation plans to drive control performance improvements
- Integration of third-party control systems with DeltaV DCS
- Excellent work ethic, ability to work well in a team environment and exemplify a strong safety culture
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- I&C Engineering Degree or Diploma
- At least ten (10) years of experience working with process controls DCS / SIS (preferably DeltaV), PLCs, design engineering, programming, process and analytical instrumentation, plant historians, Functional safety engineering (PHA, LOPA, SIL verification and validation, SRS etc.)
- Experience troubleshooting with process control systems
- Experience with computer aided tools and software
