About the Opportunity
Strategic leadership responsibilities working with the Senior Management Team in developing plans to advance and grow the organization over the long-term
Strategic oversight of and participation in planning, designing, implementing, securing, and continually improving, the organizational information technology infrastructure
Oversee external financial reporting, technical accounting under ASPE, month-end reporting, internal controls, and compliance
Responsible for management reporting to the Board and stakeholders of the business
Demonstrate ethical leadership and business integrity, balancing short-term concerns and pressures, such as managing cash, liquidity, and profitability, and long-term vision and sustainable organizational success
Ensure effective compliance, control, governance, and risk management and responding to ever increasing regulatory developments, including financial reporting, capital requirements, control frameworks and corporate responsibility
Partner and collaborate with cross functional teams to provide financial leadership and coaching
Drive and manage change and innovation within the organization
Responsible for establishing and operating of the Internal Audit function
Review terms and conditions of proposals / contracts to ensure the organization’s interest is maintained including, governance, audit, project profitability, and billing and collection profiles
Perform special projects as requested by the President or Board of Directors
About You
CPA designated
12-15 years’ progressive experience leading Finance, IT, and other support teams
Strong background in the construction industry and project management environment
Valid Ontario driver license
Exceptional qualifications in developing and implementing financial controls and processes and overall organizational governance.
Able to organize and prioritize demands, handle complex tasks, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong desire to learn and ability to build relationships across the organization and at various levels
Analytical, self-motivated problem solver with ability to “think outside the box”
Salary Range :
Highly competitive salary package which includes base salary, bonus, RRSP, car allowance, and other employee benefits.
