Procurement Analyst
We are seeking a talented professional for a role with our client in the mining and metals industry. Based in Montreal, Québec, this position requires on-site presence three days a week and offers opportunities for travel across Canada and the United States.

Responsibilities :
Extract, manipulate, analyze, and interpret data using procurement systems and platforms such as SAP and Ariba.Prepare tender documents, evaluate bids, conduct business analyses, negotiate with suppliers, and create award recommendations autonomously.Analyze expenses and support category management teams to optimize cost savings.Develop tools (e.g., Power Apps Tools) to enhance team efficiency and supplier performance management.Collaborate with the purchasing operations team and category specialists to improve transactional processes.Prepare and participate in monthly meetings with preferred suppliers, tracking performance using KPIs to strengthen long-term business relationships.Identify and track category-generated savings, maintaining accurate records within procurement systems.Contribute to category strategy development and ensure agreements with suppliers are current and optimized for savings.Create clear, detailed procedural documentation to support ongoing process improvement.What you will need to succeed :
Bachelor’s degree required.1 to 3 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management.Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and present coherent recommendations.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel (pivot tables, charts, and complex formulas), Power Apps Tools, and SharePoint.Experience with procurement systems such as SAP and Ariba.Proven ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders across hierarchical levels.Bilingual in English and French to communicate effectively with suppliers, stakeholders, and internal teams in Quebec, as well as across Canada and the United States.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Effective organizational skills, including time management and meticulous attention to detail.Ability to adapt to varied environments, particularly in Canada and the United States.Creativity, problem-solving mindset, and continuous improvement focus.Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and the promotion of organizational values.Ability to identify and seize category development opportunities.Why Recruit Action?
