Our Financial Services client is currently seeking a highly adaptable Project Manager with 3-7 years of experience for a 12 month contract assignment.
The ideal candidate should have a PMI Certification, coming from the financial service industry with a background in client on-boarding and software development, along with proven expertise in managing complex infrastructure setup and migration projects.
This role will involve overseeing significant initiatives, such as a major upgrade of a critical business application and on-boarding a complex client, primarily using the WATERFALL methodology.
Strong communication skills are essential, as the Project Manager will interact with end-clients and vendors, and they must provide tangible examples to support their qualifications.
The Project Manager will be responsible for managing project scope, budget, timeline, and resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget.
They will also prepare project status reports, assist with document preparation, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Additionally, the role requires mentorship and coaching of project team members and collaboration with various departments to ensure successful project delivery.
A PMP / Prince2 Designation or equivalent certification is mandatory, and the Project Manager will report to the Senior Portfolio Manager, EPO.

Responsibilities
Manage larger, complex projects or strategic initiatives, new products or services, ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget, and meet scope requirements.
Keep track of dependent projects, and coordinate activities, if required. May be required to act as a Program Manager for a group of interdependent projects by facilitating meetings or discussions.
Ensure all key stakeholders are kept in the loop via formal and informal communication channels on project related progress.
Facilitate team meetings to communicate progress, status, issues, risks, assignments and urgency.
Coordinate complex technical, system and process audits on client and internal engagements.
Responsible for managing client and executive communication.
Prepare, contribute to, and deliver client presentations concerning project scope, timeline, activities, issues, risks, budget and progress as required.
Assist or support document preparation, which may include; Statements of Work, proposals, contracts, estimates, requirements analysis, and technical audits.
If services of an external vendor is being leverages on a said program, work with ITVM group to establish ROE and actively manage the vendor from a delivery perspective
Participate in post-project reviews.
Oversee, mentor and coach PM1, PM2, PCO working on assigned, dependent projects. Oversee and ensure project level reporting is conducted in accordance with standards and timelines, including ensuring PM’s complete and submit weekly Project Status Reports (PSR) to the EPO / Program Manager, participating in project execution, Joint Steering Committee and Executive Steering Committee meetings, and providing program / project updates to clients, and other status updates, as requested, in support of executive reporting.
Review of resource assignments and forecast, and updated project demand, while managing impact of changes in forecast. Highlight areas of concerns, major variances to project plan, identify options and propose recommendations to address the same.
Create Project Status Report and submit to EPO / Program Manager
Provide project updates to clients, and work with vendors to receive their updates.
Provide other status updates, as requested, in support of executive reporting.
Maintain an up-to-date view of the project resource plan, including highlighting any areas of concerns, and the impact to project deliverables to ensure timelines and budget requirements are met.
Monitor and adjust project resource plan and schedule as required
Work closely with Front Office Technical Consultant to ensure due diligence activities and outcomes are documented and in line with the project business objectives at the beginning of each project.
Provide input regarding the implementation approach and PM effort estimates.
Assist with requirements gathering and scope definition, notional timeline and estimate gathering.
Qualifications
Education :
College diploma or undergraduate university degree in a related discipline or a combination of experience, education and / or training deemed to be equivalent.
PMP / Prince2 Designation or equivalent is required.
Experience :
Must have 3-7 years of Project Management experience with demonstrable results.
Preferred 5-10 years of IT experience in any of the following areas : Development, Support, Testing, Project Management or Maintenance.
Skills :
Expert knowledge of the Project Management Institute’s approach to Project Management and demonstrated successful completion of an advanced Project Management course.
Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle.
