Nanny Wanted - We Are Seeking Live Out Part Time Nanny In Calgary Ne For 8 Yr Old Son: 2 X Gifted, Asd Level 2/Adhd Combined Type Severe.

We are a family in Calgary, Alberta seeking a responsible and experienced nanny to care for our son. The position is part-time, paying $tbd per hour. Our ideal candidate is dependable, able-bodied, and attentive to our child’s needs. We are looking for someone who is passionate about caring for high needs children with disabilities. We have had a full assessment completed and have a very comprehensive home care plan made as well to simplify the process of getting everyone on the same page for what is required and necessary.

The nanny will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing environment for our child in the evenings while we are at work and will float between our 2 homes according to our parenting schedule to be a constant for our son between our homes.

Duties will include school pick up at his school in Temple at 3 : 00 PM and transporting him to the appropriate home (Dad's house is in Temple / Mom's apartment is in Skyview), engaging in age / developmentally-appropriate activities while supporting social interactions during afterschool or other scheduled play, leisure activities, and homework, etc. Prepare or serve pre-prepared meals. A full breakdown will be available, I'm just building a brief profile at this time to get us going. I'm expecting that this will be a set schedule where care is sought for the hours of 3-6 Monday to Thursday and then Friday he gets out early at 12 : 30 PM and we will cover that 12 : 30-6 shift ourselves for the most part but may offer it as extra hours when needed.

It is a requirement that our Nanny have training and experience in supporting children with ADHD, Autism, and emotional regulation. He / She must use positive behavior support strategies instead of punitive measures and have the ability to partner with parents and external professionals.

At this time we would require our Nanny to have his / her own vehicle and we would discuss pay for kms, etc.

He's a great kid, he's fun to hang out with - he's smart and funny and has so many special interests that he would love to tell you about -he just needs extra support getting through his routine, handling complex interactions and regulating when he's struggling with his big emotions and sometimes that is significant and can be physical and I need someone who can handle that responsibility.

Also, we both have a Siamese mix cat, one short hair and one long. Just in case we have any allergies out there!
