Compensation

Compensation: $78-$87.5/hour for billable time. Compensation percentages of 65%, with incentives for up to 75%.

Hours

Hours: Flexible scheduling for Monday to Friday. Preference will be given to candidates with weekend availability

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated Communication Disorders Assistant (CDA) to join our dynamic team. Sunshine Speech currently have 5 Speech-Language Pathologists on the team who work with CDAs. Sunshine Speech will match you with clients that fit your schedule and clinical skills, while providing a supportive team environment to help adapt your work to life harmony.

Responsibilities

Provide fun and stimulating therapy activities that target speech and language goals based on the child’s interests and abilities.

Supporting the recommendations and goals made by supervising SLP regarding speech and language programming, accommodations, resources, and modifications for children and their families.

Regularly documenting and tracking of client progress

Actively engaging children and caregivers to address communication goals.

Qualifications

• Registration with CDAAC; Certificate from a recognized college from a Communicative Disorders Assistant Program
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to foster meaningful connections with clients and their families.
• Previous experience in a clinical or private practice setting is an asset.
• Experience working with the paediatric population is an asset, including children with various exceptionalities (e.g., Autism)
• The successful applicant will be required to complete a Vulnerable Sector Police Check.

Competitive compensation package (60-65% compensation offered).
