We are in search of a detail-oriented and highly organized Bilingual (English / French) Paralegal for our subsidiary, LendCare Capital Inc.

Responsibilities :

  • Draft and prepare pleadings along with a variety of legal documents with precision.
  • Consistently hit or exceed monthly targets
  • Proactively plan and prioritize tasks to meet critical deadlines and maintain workflow.
  • Liaise with other members of the legal department
  • Manage and maintain a high volume of legal files, ensuring organization and accessibility
  • Actively prepare for and attend court appearances, providing solid support to our legal team.
  • Oversee and coordinate legal settlements and collections processes
  • Efficiently locate individuals and assets using Skip Tracing techniques
  • Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation.

Requirements :

  • Paralegal Diploma or Certificate, Licensed with the Law Society of Ontario
  • Accreditation in good standings
  • Professional Liability Insurance
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both French and English
  • Knowledge of the Rules of the Small Claims Court and Small Claims Debt Collections
  • Relevant working experience is an asset but not required
  • Excellent computer skills and the ability to adapt to company systems
  • Comfortable working independently and in a team environment
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to consistently meet or exceed monthly targets.
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle for court appearances (mileage reimbursed)
  • Fulltime availability (40 hours / week) and ability to work in our head office in Pickering, ON
