Unitech Collision CSN is currently seeking a reliable and organized Autobody Painter to join our growing team in Cornwall, Ontario.
The Auto Body Painter is responsible for restoring vehicles to like-new appearance following collisions, dents, scratches, or other damage. You’ll apply expert painting, refinishing, and paint-matching techniques to meet or exceed factory standards, ensuring customer satisfaction with every job.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting : sanding, cleaning, smoothing, masking, priming as needed to ensure proper adhesion and finish.
- Applies all primers, sealers, basecoats, color coats, and clear coats using the correct formulations according to the specifications provided by the paint manufacturer.
- Perform high-quality paint and refinishing work — including color matching and blending new paint with existing paint to achieve a seamless finish.
- Refinishes vehicles in accordance with insurance guidelines and the quality standards set by management.
- Collaborate with collision-repair technicians to understand extent of damage and any structural / body issues before painting.
- Maintain a clean, organized paint booth and work area; follow all safety and environmental procedures for paint and materials handling.
- Participate in in-house training and I-CAR training to stay current on industry best practices and techniques.
