Service New Brunswick is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join the Infrastructure Operations Branch as a Data Centre Operator. This role is part of a dynamic team responsible for the continuous development operation and support of data centre infrastructure for the Government of New Brunswick.

Key Responsibilities :

Reporting to the Manager of the Data Centre and Asset Management Services Team you will :

• Provide service to SNB data centre clients ensuring alignment with the SNB shared-services delivery model.
• Deliver operational support for critical infrastructure including :

Air conditioning systems (HVAC CRAC).

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS : University degree in Computer Science OR a college diploma in Information Technology and two (2) years of related experience.

Subject to the response to this competition an equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered or the required years of experience may be increased.

Written and spoken competence in English is required.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS : Preference may be given to candidates who demonstrate they have training or experience in one or more of the following areas :

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS : This position requires flexibility in working hours which includes evenings and weekends and requires the successful candidate to carry a cell phone to be on call outside of normal work hours.

Candidates will be required to undergo a Criminal History Clearance prior to appointment and must be willing to obtain a security clearance. A 10-year residency in Canada is required for security clearance.
