Major Responsibilities :
Shunter
Transfer trailers and material within the building as requiredMonitor outbound picklists and ensure trailers are loaded correctly and in a timely mannerOperate lift trucks inside and outside the facility to move material, finished goods and skids as requiredMonitor inventory of packaging items (skids, lumber, banding etc.) and notify maintenanceCommunicate Loaded / Unloaded trailers to the Shipping Department- Trailer checkEnsures safe and efficient operation of cranes, shunt trucks, lift trucks and processing equipmentPerforms daily inspection on lifting equipment and shunt trucks prior to start upMaterial Handler
Ensures safe and efficient operation of all lifting equipmentPerforms daily inspection on lifting equipment prior to start up.Receives material against incoming BOL and apply stock tags.Load material according to Load List – scanning product tagsUpdates inventory material locationsLocates, assembles, and applies finish good tags to As-Is products.Stage material for processingTransfer material within the building as requiredEnsures the safe preservation of product stored inside / outside the buildingEnsures all necessary reports have been completed.Ensures non-conforming product / damaged equipment is brought forth to the Shipping / Receiving Department or Production Supervisor for disposition.Maintains good housekeeping in the work area.Identifies packaged material per sales order requirements.Ensures non-conforming product is brought forth to the Production Supervisor for dispositionUpdates inventory material locations (RTS)Maintains good housekeeping in the work area and the yard (lumber / skids in the driveways placed in racks)Take part and initiate continuous improvement efforts.Trains new employees as required.Other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor and Shipping / Receiving DepartmentQuality System Requirements (Authority & Responsibility)
Notify Supervisors of any non-conformities relating to product, process and quality systemInitiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channelsTools & Equipment
Grinding equipment, measuring equipment, hand tools / banding equipment, computer equipment (RF scanner / D365) lift trucks, shunt trucks, remote crane and packaging area cranesMaterial & Products
