Role : Mine Maintenance Scheduler
Location : Geraldton, Ontario
Rotation : 14-day in / out rotation. The company provides transportation from multiple pick-up point locations.
About :
Our Client, a leading mining company, is seeking a Mine Maintenance Scheduler to join their team. Reporting to the Senior Mine Maintenance Planner, the Mine Maintenance Scheduler is responsible for supporting the Maintenance team by managing the week-by-week schedules.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and Manage Schedules :
Create and adjust daily and weekly maintenance schedules to meet operational needs and priorities. Lead the weekly maintenance scheduling meeting and revise schedules based on stakeholder feedback.
2. Ensure Resource Availability :
Verify the availability of trades, parts, services, and support equipment required for planned maintenance work using the SAP CMMS.
Communicate any deficiencies to the Execution and Planning teams in advance.
3. Monitor and Update Work Order Statuses :
Review active work schedules and work order statuses daily. Confirm proper completion of work orders and ensure the schedule reflects real-world situations, providing recommendations for frequently scheduled work and rescheduled or deferred tasks.
4. Conduct Worksite Visits :
Perform daily worksite visits to support the execution team and update work timelines based on changing conditions. Participate in pre-shutdown meetings and after-action reviews to improve the work scheduling process.
5. Facilitate Communication :
Attend daily control meetings to stay informed of operational changes and breakdowns. Consistently and accurately communicate schedule changes to all stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the mine plan requirements and available labour.

Qualifications :
- Possess certification in a trade or equivalent combination of relevant professional experience and education related to maintenance routines.
- Over 3 years of hands-on experience with computerized systems for maintenance management and proven methods in maintenance practices.
- Proficiency in using Windows and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word; experience with MS Project is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with SAP or other contemporary CMMS platforms is advantageous.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience maintaining mobile equipment.
- Previous experience in industrial settings, with a preference for those who have worked in mining environments.
