Essential Functions
- Oversees day-to-day program delivery to ensure program quality, that it’s running smoothly, scheduling, basic financials, staffing, and curriculum.
- Maintain consistent communication with team. Manage staff team by providing recommendations for hiring, complete performance reviews, coach where needed, recommendations for disciplinary actions, and complete training to staff to ensure compliance and funding requirements.
- Engages in community partnerships by participating in community meetings, facilitates advisor groups, and communicate with stakeholders to create effective relationships with other communities that are using the program.
- Support implementation of strategic and work plan by actively participating in work groups for plans and engage with the director to ensure for smooth implementation.
- Ensure all cash handling procedures are followed at all times.
- Program delivery at the frontline level and works with participants on a one-on-one basis to ensure that program runs as it is supposed to.
- Works as a supervisor to a team of three or more members.
- Assign and schedule the work of others. Complete all other administrative tasks as needed accurately and in a timely matter.
- Occasional travel to Grande Prairie, Wood Buffalo, and Red Deer.
What You'll Need
- University Degree in Recreation Management, Education, Social Work, Psychology, Ecology, or Sociology
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Mental Health, Non-Profit Organizations, or Human Services
- Specialized knowledge in Non-Profit Organizations, Housing field, Children and Youth families
- Standard First Aid & CPR-C
- Able to obtain a Police Information Check and Vulnerable sector and Child Intervention / Enhanced Security check
