About the Opportunity

As a leading supplier of custom, first of a kind equipment, process systems and engineering services for the nuclear industry (globally), we offer complete design services from specification to execution. As part of our growing team, the successful candidate will be responsible, for the design of mechanical systems and / or components both in the traditional nuclear market and in new initiatives to develop nuclear technology and future nuclear-powered systems.

What will you do?

• Provide input and direction to the development of conceptual / detailed equipment designs as they progress through a structured design process
• Provide technical oversight and mentoring of more junior members of the Engineering team
• Perform both classical hand calculations and analysis (including FEA) to qualify systems and / or components against applicable codes & standards
• Prepare clear and concise design reports and technical specifications.
• Review, approve and seal design reports, technical documentation and drawings
• Drive innovation and new methods in the development of new technologies and nuclear systems
• Collaborate globally within our clients Engineering framework alongside SMEs and nuclear specialists
• Support resolution of issues throughout design, manufacture and testing of systems and / or components
