Opportunity Summary
As the Senior Project Manager, you will be part of a team that collaborates to drive creative solutions for our clients and internal / external stakeholders. You will serve as the primary lead for stakeholder engagement, own the project execution, and ensure projects are completed safely and profitably.
Key Responsibilities
- Project lifecycle from start to finish, which includes financial oversight and schedule adherence.
- Play an active role in business development, proposal submissions, interviews, presentations, and serve as the liaison for owners, architects, and authorities having jurisdiction.
- Work closely with the site team to develop a strategic project plan, engineering methods and monitor the project schedule.
- Develop recovery strategies where required to ensure project schedule and budget adherence.
- Understand and enforce prime contract and subcontract responsibilities and obligations.
- Negotiate and issue purchase orders, subcontracts, and monitor their progress, and schedule.
- Work with the accounting department to ensure project accounting is accurate and timely.
- Prepare and issue progress applications to the owner according to established schedules and the prime contract.
- Review and approve subcontractor payment applications and expedite owner payment in accordance with the contract terms.
- Manage the approval of all change orders, including negotiating and assessing cost and schedule impact to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
- Manage all facets of project closeout, direct final inspections, manage punch lists, and ensure all record documents are properly archived and transferred to the owner.
- Participate in tender closings when requested.
- Supervise, mentor junior staff and train project personnel to foster a culture of quality and safety.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with external and internal clients and represent the company at industry functions and events.

A bachelor’s degree in construction management, Architecture, or Civil Engineering is preferred.6+ years of experience delivering high‑value institutional developments, including long‑term care and senior living facilities, with a total project spend exceeding $50M.Professional certifications such as PMP, Passive House or LEED are highly valued.Advanced skills in project management software, including Procore, MS Project and Office.Strong professional presence with all stakeholders, especially client relationships.Experience in all forms of contracts and delivery methods.Sound knowledge in the review and negotiation of contracts for construction projects.Strong technical, business, financial and legal acumen.Effective communication skills, including the ability to successfully translate technical information to non‑technical individuals.Demonstrated leadership skills, including strong teambuilding capabilities.Knowledge of key principles involved in bid preparation, including quantity take‑off procedures, subcontract procurement, pricing and bid closing procedures.Excellent relationship‑building skills and the ability to provide creative solutions to complex issues.For further information, visit our web‑site or our LinkedIn profile.
