docbraces Spruce Grove looking for an experienced part time Sterilization Technician to join our Spruce Grove, AB team to cover a maternity leave position. Canadian Orthodontic Partners provides support services to docbraces Spruce Grove and our national network of community-based clinics in delivering personalized Orthodontic treatment. Key Responsibilities
- Help in sterilization and turnover/cleaning of hygiene chairs between patients.
- Document all sterilization cycles and as indicated by public health regulations.
- Daily fabrication of retainers, pouring and trimming models.
- Prepare and maintain all dental instruments, supplies and equipment.
- Organize, clean, and maintain a clean and sterile clinical area.
- Maintain a positive attitude and work cohesively with fellow team members to provide an atmosphere of trust, respect, and cooperation.
- Perform any other tasks delegated or assigned by the Orthodontist or leadership team.
- Possess great energy for a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Lab/Sterilization Technician experience is considered an asset but not required. Dental Assistants interested in an entry level position in an orthodontic practice.
- Experience with clinical sterilization practices also considered an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; written and verbal, an ability to make patients feel comfortable and at ease.
- Great time management and organizational skills. Physically capable of standing for prolonged periods of time.
