About The Role

Under the direction of the Cleaning Supervisor, performs cleaning and housekeeping duties. Cleans and washes floors, walls, furnishings, fixtures, etc. Performs some or all of the additional responsibilities : specialized cleanings (i.e. White Room, Hep‑C, etc); inventory management; training; floor stripping / Waxing.

What You’ll Do Here

• Oversees inventory management of cleaning products and consumables.
• Oversees training of new staff.
• Strips, waxes and polishes floors.
• Performs specialized cleanings that require special training (i.e. White room, Hep‑C, etc).
• Mops, sweeps and washes staircases and floors.
• Washes walls and doors. Washes or cleans furnishings and fixtures such as interior and exterior window panes, partitions, window sills, blinds, elevators, picture frames, etc. Cleans refrigerators, freezers, counters, sinks, etc.
• Cleans and washes washrooms; washes fixtures and accessories such as sinks, urinals, toilets, mirrors, garbage cans, etc. Unclogs sinks and toilets with appropriate products and plungers. Restocks hand soap, hand towels, toilet paper, etc. As required, cleans washes and wipes partitions in shower stalls.
• Vacuums and shampoos carpets as required. Empties and cleans ashtrays; empties and periodically cleans waste paper baskets.
• Picks up debris, cleans and washes rooms that have been damaged. Cleans areas affected by water damage. Performs heavy cleaning such as spring‑cleaning and maintenance duties as required.
• Inspects, cleans and washes exterior of lockers, locker rooms, etc.
• Handles, carries and uses equipment, tools and materials required to perform duties; maintains tools and equipment and ensures cleanliness of work area.
• Informs immediate supervisor any irregularities or defects; takes measures to correct the situation.
• Uses equipment such as vacuum cleaners, auto scrubber, floor polishers, ladder, mops, brooms, cleaning accessories, linen cart, etc.

What You’ll Need To Succeed
