The City of Orillia is seeking a dynamic Team Lead – Buddy Program and Logistics (formerly Camp Coordinator) to join our team in the Parks and Recreation Division of the Environment and Infrastructure Services Department. Reporting directly to the Programs and Camps Coordinator, the Team Lead will manage the summer buddy program, including administration, supervision, training, and coordination. This role involves working directly with children with various abilities to create a fun and safe camp experience.

DUTIES

• Responsible for creating, developing, and implementing the Inclusion Program for summer day camps.
• Lead the pre-planning and preparation for camp, including daily schedules, participant recruitment and enrollment, application processes, and excursion planning, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints and program needs.
• Responsible for scheduling staff throughout the summer, ensuring that staffing levels remain within budget. Ensuring the schedule maintains an appropriate staff-to-camper ratio, making sure the trained and proper staff are always present.
• Collaborate with supervisors and co-team leader in a fast-paced environment, requiring quick decision-making.

Successful candidates will be required to participate in Behaviour Management Systems (BMS) Training on May 9, 2026.

This position is a seasonal contract position (May 1, 2026 to September 4, 2026 ) with full-time hours that include evening and weekend shifts.
