As a Lane Closure Technician (LCT) you play an essential role in supporting the safety of your fellow roadworkers crews and members of public on the road. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient set up maintenance and removal of traffic control measures in various work zones across the lower mainland. You will work with contractors involved in heavy underground light utility electrical paving road building and special events. You role will be instrumental in ensuring safety and regulatory compliance while minimizing traffic disruptions upholding standards and providing a secure work environment for our teams and community.
What you will be responsible for :
Traffic Control
- Lead Traffic Control persons providing direction and guidance to set up and tear down signs work zone delineations and ensure safe traffic control.
- Set up traffic control zones.
- Give clear and precise traffic control directions and signals for motorists understanding.
- Monitor the traffic and work zone and modify when scope of work changes.
