Reporting to the Quality Manager, this position supports Quality and ISO 9001 in all areas of the IEM Organization at the manufacturing site—both internal and external. The role involves significant engagement with all areas of product and manufacturing, while also enhancing visibility, communication, and collaboration with key departments, which is essential for success in this position.
Please note : This position requires 100% in-office presence and does not offer remote work.
Job Duties :
Collate, analyze and monitor company process & quality metrics against defined objective parametersWrite / author technical reports to management depicting the quality levels, quality problems and cost of quality.Optimize manufacturability, assembly, testability, cost and quality of components (in house and purchased) and final productMonitor product performance / quality through gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports.PFMEA and new program implementation including tooling and manufacturing processes to identify and mitigate risk identifiedReview, understand and ensure manufacturing process meets customer and industry specifications and requirementsIdentify / specify relevant quality-related and workmanship standards training needs.Offer technical expertise to company on statistics, Six Sigma methodology, tools, and best practicesDefine, develop documents and implement manufacturing and assembly process and quality procedures in conjunction with department staff.Conduct Corrective Actions - Internal and ExternalUnderstanding and knowledge of SolidWorksMaintain and report department KPI’sFacilitate problem solving techniques within the production team (including suppliers).Set up and drive standard work and best practices through continuous improvements.Document clear project actions and enable timeline achievementDevelopment of robust, predictive quality systems in production environment by applying world class techniques (Six Sigma, SPC, GRR, 5Y, CAR, etc.)Working with Engineering team on continuous improvement opportunitiesKnowledge of IPC standards.Failure analysis to support production and assemblyCollaborating with other divisions to identify and document best practicePerform Internal Audits, report and help solve non-conformancesPerform other duties as assignedRequirements :
Experience in manufacturing and quality processes within a plant, division, or company, working with both design and production organizations.Strong background in Six Sigma methodology (Green Belt minimum, Black Belt preferred).Experience with UL / CSA standards and ISO 9001 QMS Systems.Expertise in the development, manufacturing, and testing of equipment, fixtures, and processes for electrical connectors, harnesses, and / or related equipment.Ability to think creatively, logically, and independently to solve problems in manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, regulatory compliance, and quality.Skilled in identifying opportunities for process improvements and able to delegate tasks without formal authority.Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, organizational abilities, and respect for confidentiality.Education and Experience :
Degree / Diploma in Engineering or related disciplineA minimum of two years (or more) related experience in Quality AssuranceExperience with power distribution / electronics experience is required.Advanced proficiency of Microsoft Office applications (Access, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentSeniority level : Associate
