What is the opportunity?

As a Digital Business Specialist, you will collaborate with squads on various projects in an Agile environment to deliver RBCI's Realize 2026 strategic priorities. This is an intermediate role that requires sound technical knowledge of RBCI systems as well as business rules and processes.

What will you do?

  • Act as a subject matter expert with proficient knowledge of many systems, business rules and processes, which enables identification, research, analysis and recommended solutions to resolve complex issues affecting multiple lines of business including but not limited to Life, Health, Wealth and Travel; Operations & Claims; Creditor; Group; Sales, Home & Auto, Risk & Regulatory to sustain RBCI's competitive edge and exceptional client experience.
  • Collaborate with squad members in user story building / refinement / sprint planning within agile squad ceremonies / events and responsible for test planning and execution activities with the aim to eventually standardize and automate test activities.
  • Support incident and change management activities; foster an agile mindset and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Effective communication to business stakeholder, squad members and senior leaders.

Here's what we need from you :

Must-have

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of Insurance industry experience (Life & Health, Creditor); strong understanding of Insurance Operations and end user experience in all lines of business including but not limited to : Claims, New Business, Administration and Compensation
  • Post secondary college or university
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Claims related applications - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and any systems or platforms within RBC Insurance
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Nice to Have

  • Project and or process improvement experience
  • Experience with Agile methodology and / or any relevant certification (ie CSPO)
  • Change management skills
  • Ability to balance work and multiple priorities
  • Familiar with JIRA, Kanban or Confluence
