Job Description

Propak Systems Ltd. is an established leader in engineering, fabrication, and construction of gas compression and processing facilities for the energy industry. We are currently seeking a Custodian to make sure that all types of office buildings, fabrication shops, and warehouses are neat, clean, free from clutter and safe.

Key Responsibilities :

Report on time and fit for duty
Participate in daily toolbox meetings
Clean and disinfect common areas :

Printer rooms

Conference rooms

Washroom

Change / locker rooms

Kitchen / coffee areas

Vending machine

Staircases

Electronic items

Carry out heavy cleaning tasks and special projects

disinfect high touch surfaces on a set schedule

Under direct supervision, may be required to operate basic hand and power tools.

Clean work areas and equipment.

Perform other laboring and basic activities.

Use cleaning supplies and equipment to keep the interior of the office building looking clean and professional

Adhere to the company’s safety policies to create a safe work environment for everyone

Perform routing cleaning tasks based on a schedule created by the facility management team

Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out trash, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces

Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets

Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks and showers and restock disposables (e.g. soap)

Wipe mirrors and windows

Maintain outer premises by watering plants, mowing lawn, cleaning entrances

Perform maintenance and minor repairs (fixing door handles, minor leaks etc.)

Report major damages

Secure facilities after operating hours by locking doors, closing windows and setting up the alarm

Undertake custodial and janitorial tasks (shoveling snow from the sidewalk, lifting heavy items, moving chairs etc.)

Ensuring equipment and lights are switched off, and premises are locked after hours.

Collaborating with contract cleaning services.

Qualifications :

Prior experience working with cleaning equipment and supplies is an asset

Prior experience handling basic maintenance repairs is an asset
