Senior Underwriter, D&O, E&O
OPPORTUNITY - fully remote
MGA experience an asset but not a must
The Role
- To build a profitable Ontario based commercial property and liability book of business
- Underwrite multi-line commercial risks, varying in size
- Apply effective pricing and coverage in accordance with company guidelines and underwriting authority limits
- Ability to underwrite products and develop unique underwriting solutions
- Ability to grow and maintain business relationships with broker partners
- Assess and evaluate risk quality and implement risk management recommendations

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient computer skills
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time and meet deadlines
- Professional and personable
- Self-motivated and driven to achieve company results
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team and can work remotely, if required
Education and Experience
- University degree or college graduate
- Professional designations CIP, FCIP, CRM a plus
- Minimum 5-10 years’ underwriting experience
