We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Controller to lead day-to-day finance and accounting operations and strengthen financial reporting, analysis, and internal controls across the organization. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, this role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining strong compliance and governance practices, and providing meaningful insights to support business decision-making.
The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting, and enjoys translating financial data into clear, actionable business insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day accounting operations while managing and supporting the accounting team.
- Ensure timely, complete, and accurate preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Prepare variance analysis comparing actual results to budget / forecast, clearly identifying and communicating key drivers.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management processes to support visibility and decision-making
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to track KPIs and improve visibility across the business.
- Review and reconcile foreign exchange transactions and support hedge accounting documentation in accordance with ASPE standards.
- Support year-end process and prepare required working papers and supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, financial regulations, and tax requirements.
- Support the implementation, and setup of a new ERP system, including data migration validation and reporting enhancements.
- Collaborate effectively with the finance team and other business stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.
- Establish, document, and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Mentor and develop members of the finance team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
