What you will be doing :
- Possess a complete understanding of the menus and syllabus
- Ensure all food is prepared according to the recipes and standards specified by the Chef and Chef de Parties
- Delegate and assign duties to Cooks Assistants to ensure a consistently high level of productivity
- Contribute ideas to Seasonal menu development and assist in the creation of Fresh Sheet items Tasting Menu items etc
- Demonstrate the importance of food and labour cost
- Monitor and communicate Food Safe Standards to ensure all food is properly stored labeled and rotated
- Promote professional work habits and contribute to a maintaining a safe and positive environment
- Other duties assigned

Your experience and skills include :
Journeypersons papers Red Seal or equivalentsA minimum of 3 years experience in a hotel or kitchen of comparable size and must be within last 5 years (recent experience)Completely fluent English language and communication skills both written and verbalSuccessful completion of practical cooking testMust hold a Food safe certificateExcellent organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fastpaced environmentStrong artistic skills in food presentationHigh level of responsibility and commitmentTeam player with proven success in relationship buildingStrong leadership and motivational skills and ability to effectively train and develop coworkersCommitment to providing excellent service and exceeding guests expectationsAvailable to work flexible shiftsPhysically capable of :Continuous standing for extended periods of time
