Regional Field Manager - Experiential Marketing

The Acquisition Group is currently looking for a motivated professional to represent our client TELUS Communications. As a Regional Field Manager, you will be responsible for creating new business partnerships to support TELUS' direct sales across malls and events to drive brand penetration in the Calgary market. You will be responsible for executing the local marketing event strategies in the field and on location in partnership with our Direct-to-Consumer Sales teams. Job Description : Business Development

  • Research, identify, and contact prospects within the assigned territories
  • Build new partnerships and generate event opportunities through cold calling and in-person outreach
  • Manage and prioritize opportunities to accelerate the visibility of TELUS products / services through experiential event marketing
  • Strategize with internal team and managers on all opportunities to ensure ideas and solutions are being effectively developed
  • Collaborate with Management team and Sales team to develop a strategic and tactical event program

Events Coordination

  • Manage the day-to-day logistics of pop-up kiosks across malls (ensuring tech is functioning, marketing material is on site, demo displays are adequately merchandised, and sales reps are ready to sell!)
  • Execute a community event strategy across festivals, trade shows, and retail locations to increase penetration of TELUS products / services
  • Develop and trial different marketing approaches to uncover and recommend the optimal event marketing strategy and sales approaches for the region
  • Leverage market knowledge, market research, and analytics to build and execute a community-centric marketing event strategy
  • Understand the community landscape and be a champion for a community-centered marketing approach through continuous networking
  • Coach and mentor a team of direct-to-consumer sales representatives at various on-location events across the region, ensuring appropriate brand representation
  • Oversee set up and tear down of regional marketing events (flexible hours required)

  • Requirements & Qualifications :

  • A degree in Marketing / Communications / Business or a related field is strongly preferred
  • Adaptive self-starter who takes ownership, and initiative and has a bias for action
  • Willingness to challenge the status quo and take action to make continuous improvements
  • Strong analytical, written, verbal communication, and time management skills
  • Ability to communicate ideas clearly and motivate cross-functional teams towards a common goal
  • Ability to network, develop, and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and team members
  • Proven track record to meet tight deadlines, tolerate ambiguity and work well under pressure
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in an event planning, marketing, business development, or sales management role
  • Flexible schedule : available to work evenings and weekends, from a home-based office and on event location
  • Available to travel up to 100% of the time and access to a vehicle
