Job Description

Personal Support Workers play a pivotal role in our health care system. At Spectrum Health Care, they work closely with our patients and their families, providing personal care and support with activities of daily living. The care provided by Personal Support Workers ensures patients can recover safely from an acute illness or remain in their homes throughout the aging process.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, toileting, skincare, light meal preparation, feeding, etc.) in personal residences or facilities
• Continuously assess, anticipate, identify, and respond to new and changing needs of patients and communicate available Total Care resources to patients when appropriate
• Perform delegated and / or assigned tasks under the supervision of a Home Support Supervisor
• Travel within the assigned region between patients’ residences or facilities
