About Nexus

Nexus Renewables is a Toronto-based well-capitalized full-service renewable energy developer and independent power producer, having advanced 500+ MW of solar and energy storage projects across North America. The Company is scaling its platform significantly following completion of a material strategic financing.

The Opportunity

We seek an experienced Corporate & Business Development professional to join a small and close-knit corporate team in a rapidly growing organization. This is a senior role, and the successful candidate will be an integral member of the Company’s management team.

The successful candidate will bring 10+ years of experience spearheading commercial activities for both contracted and merchant solar and energy storage assets in the United Stated and / or Canada for an independent power producer, project developer, or standalone storage owner / operator.

This is an on-site, not a hybrid / remote position.

Job Requirements / Qualifications :

  • 10+ years of power origination experience with a North American renewable energy developer, IPP, or standalone storage owner / operator
  • A minimum of 500 MW of solar and energy storage projects originated within North America over past five years.
  • Demonstrable track record of successfully developing, implementing, and executing growth strategies with a particular focus on development of solar and energy storage projects.
  • University degree in Engineering, Finance, or Business (MBA and / or CFA designation an asset)
  • Strong commercial negotiation skills and business acumen
  • Ability to work in either Canada and / or the U.S.

Job Description :

  • Develop, implement, and execute short- and medium-term business strategies to expand Nexus’ solar and energy storage footprint across the United States and Canada.
  • Lead greenfield origination and M&A efforts through Financial Close.
